9y-old Canadian child among 2 dead after St Elizabeth crash , 6 in hospital
A Canadian child and one Jamaican man have been confirmed dead and six others injured following a fatal collision along the Content main road in St Elizabeth on Independence Day, Saturday, August 6.
They have been identified as 9-year-old Impressi Hughes of an Ontario, Canada address and 51-year-old Courtney Corde of Elderly district in St. Elizabeth.
Reports from the Lacovia Police are that about 8pm, Impressi and Corde were passengers in a Toyota Mark X and a Toyota Caldina travelling in the same direction along the above-mentioned roadway when on reaching a section of the roadway both vehicles allegedly collided with a Mitsubishi Montero that was travelling in the opposite direction.
Eight passengers were rushed to the Black River Hospital where Impressi and Corde succumbed to their injuries and the other six admitted in stable condition.
